Review — Hideaway by Penelope Douglas

I could not put this book down!  I read until I got headaches, and then I read some more. Okay, I enjoyed the first book in this series, Corrupt, but I never really did warm up to Michael. I liked Kai all along, so his story had me falling in love and keeping my fingers crossed that he’d work it all out.

Hideaway is my kind of romance. Kai is basically a good guy who has made some mistakes, and the author has done an excellent job of laying out his conflict and making him my kind of dream man. And I won’t even reveal the name of his love interest because I felt the author did a great job of letting that mystery build and I don’t want to ruin it for any new readers.

I have a feeling this one is going to resonate with me for a long time. The writing is superb, the build up, the romance is believable, and the every character makes me want to analyze the heck out of them–there is so much going on in all their lives!

I can’t wait for the next installment in this series. I’ll be reading each one.
